Boise State defeated Utah State 52-21 last Friday night on national TV. Boise State remains strong at #6 in the BCS Top 25 rankings. The Broncos host Nevada on the 27th in what should be a thrilling contest and with a win they could very well find themselves in strong contention for a BCS bowl game despite the fact TCU is still ranked ahead of them in the BCS standings.

Boise State dominated from beginning to end as they throttled in-state rival Idaho 63-25. In a game that was being billed as Idaho’s chance to show they were of the same caliber as the Boise State program, the thrashing will surely keep local recruits favoring Boise State. The #6 Broncos travel to Utah State to battle the Aggies in front of a national audience on Friday night November 20th as they play on ESPN2. The most recent bowl projections from Football-Bowl.com have Boise State facing USC in the Emerald bowl, however recent ESPN reports have been leaning more toward both TCU and Boise State playing in BCS Bowl Games this holiday season.

Hawaii’s win over Boise State was surely a big one; it improved the Warriors to 12-0 and pivoted Hawaii to their first-ever outright WAC Championship. But the win also boosted the Warriors in the BCS rankings from #15 a week ago to the all-important #12 spot this week. The #12 BCS ranking is important as any non-BCS conference team ranked in the BCS Top 12 must be invoted to a BCS bowl game. Like Boise State a year ago, the undefeated Warriors look to make their statement to the nation as they are the lone undefeated team in 2007. With just a home game against Washington remaining, the Warriors look to remain ranked in the BCS Top 12 through next week’s game and ensure a BCS Bowl bid.
