Donny Walker signs with the UFC, to face Jeff Hougland at UFC 132

ProFighting-fans.com has learned that Cleveland-based bantamweight Donny “Eagle Eye” Walker has signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and will make his UFC debut on July 2nd at UFC 132. Walker (17-8) is the reigning NAAFS Featherweight Champion and trains at GriffonRawl MMA Academy in Mentor, Ohio. Walker, undefeated in his last 7 fights with wins over two Bellator fighters and a Strikeforce vet alike, last fought on December 4th, 2010 in his most recent NAAFS title defense.
Walker is slated to step into the Octagon opposite Jeff “Hellbound” Hougland (9-4). Hougland is riding a 8-fight win streak of his own with two wins in 2011, the most recent of which having taken place on May 14th, 2011 when he scored his 4th straight 1st round submission victory. Hougland will also be making his UFC debut at UFC 132.
Walker, a veteran of over 12 years of MMA training and a Army veteran, has fought the majority of his career as a lightweight and featherweight and will make his bantamweight debut at the July 2nd UFC 132 event in Las Vegas. Walker trains with 4-time UFC veteran & TUF 9 semifinalist Jason “Dynamite” Dent at GriffonRawl MMA Academy and Walker serves as the gym’s boxing coach. Dent serves as Walker’s trainer, coach and manager and the two have been friends since childhood.
The UFC 132 fight card will be headlined by a UFC Bantamweight Championship fight between Dominick Cruz and top contender Urijah Faber.
