The recent Brett Favre trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets last week was made to help the Jets make it back to the NFL playoffs, but even if the Jets do not win a game, the move will be well worth it. After announcing the deal, JetsShop.com received so much traffic that the server brough back a message of “Sorry, the shop is inaccessible temporarily, Please try again later.” So not only was the trade one that could get the Jets back into the playoffs, but the increase in sales of New York Jets apparel including the Brett Favre #4 NY Jets jersey, will certainly make financial sense for the Jets. So whether you choose to select Brett Favre for your 2008 fantasy football teams of not, know that the former Southern Miss QB will be making sure the rich get richer in New York in 2008.
