Saturday saw 7 games involving Big Ten basketball programs in action highlighted by two big-name match-ups. The #7 Wisconsin Badgers knocked off the #2 Pitt Panthers early in the day on Saturday 89-75 and the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes played yet another in-state game beating the Cincinnati Bearcats 72-50. Ohio State has been known for purposely avoiding in-state match-ups in recent years avoiding the likes of Kent, Ohio, Miami, Toledo and others, but OSU has now defeated both Kent State and UC this season. 

 

Meanwhile, Michigan defeated Northern Illinois 67-52 and #23 Michigan State defeated Chicago State 69-61, but #18 Butler defeated Purdue, SE Louisiana beat Penn State and Drake beat Iowa to round out Saturday’s games.
