Durant now a star for former rivals
Sunday, September 28th, 2008When Kevin Durant donned a college jersey for the Texas Longhorns, the fine people of Oklahoma were not fans of his basketball skills, they were his rivals. There was no reason for that to change as Durant was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics #2 overall in the 2007 NBA Draft, but the 2007-2008 NBA Rookie of the Year, along with all of his Seattle teammates, will be heading to Oklahoma this season. The former Seattle Supersonics will now be known as the Oklahoma City Thunder as they debut in the 2008-2009 NBA season.
