ACC prepares to go bowling

The conference will kick off its portion of the bowl season on December 26th (4:30) as North Carolina faces Pittsburgh in what should be a great Meineke Car Care Bowl.  The same night at 8:00 the Boston College Golden Eagles will face the Trojans of Southern California.  December 27th will serve as a post Christmas treat as Clemson will battle Kentucky in the Music City Bowl.  The Hurricanes of Miami will face a rugged Wisconsin squad on December 29th in front of a prime time audience at the Champs Sports Bowl.  Virginia Tech will face the defensive minded Tennessee Volunteers on New Years Eve at 7:30 in what is sure to be a slug fest.  The Florida State Seminoles will battle West Virginia on New Year’s Day in legend Bobby Bowden’s last game at the Gator Bowl.  In the conference’s lone BCS appearance, Georgia Tech will look to run the ball in the teeth of the Iowa defense on January 5th at the Orange Bowl.
